This isn’t normal.
You are not overly sensitive.
You aren’t too anxious, too paranoid, or really “too” anything.
And, you try not to listen to the voice in your head that says you’re overreacting.
You shouldn’t have to adjust to all of this, especially not alone and not without dedicated space to process everything that has happened – and who you are now.
We can’t go back to who we were pre-pandemic.
We’ve watched governments fail and Americans die.
We’ve awakened to systemic, racial injustices.
We’ve put our own conveniences aside for the safety of our neighbors.
We’ve lost so much – our kids have lost so much. And now, we’re supposed to go back to normal?
You can find yourself again.
You will feel seen. You will feel heard. And you will feel understood.
Think about how rare that is in everyday life – to feel truly understood. If you can’t remember the last time you felt understood, please don’t delay any longer. Email me right now to set up your 20-minute FREE consultation.
You deserve better.
Therapy can be uncomfortable.
You need a therapist who cares – fully, genuinely.
Pat yourself on the back for even visiting this page.
If it took you several tries, days, months to get yourself to search “therapist” in your browser, bravo – I’m really proud of you for getting here.
You’ve come to the right place.
Welcome! I’m glad you’re here.
Finding the right therapist can be a strange and challenging process, but it’s paramount to living the life you really want to lead.
You need someone you can trust – someone who “gets” you.
Someone who will let you be you.
Small Ears
I have tiny ears – comically small. So, my family likes to joke that I overcompensate for my small ears by listening extremely well.
I love to listen. Really listen.
And when I do, I can explore what you aren’t saying – what the little kid inside you is trying to say.
We all nurture a little kid inside. Sometimes, it’s the kid inside us – acting out or feeling really sad. I listen to that little kid and help them heal whatever is hurting them.
Then, I’ll teach you to set boundaries, so your little kid can trust again.
Let me give you a sense of what it’s like to work with me.
When we work together, I’ll ensure you feel seen and understood – perhaps for the first time in your life.
You’ll log in to your session, and smiling back at you will be someone who genuinely understands. Finally.
I’ll ask you about what’s coming up for you, but I won’t ever rush you – or force you to talk about something when you’re not ready.
And gradually, we’ll build relationship.
As we work together, we’ll explore your deepest truths and wounds, and you’ll trust me to handle them carefully.
I’ll hold space for you to process your emotions – whatever they are.
Then we’ll look for the roots together, carefully acknowledging what we find and deciding what’s worth keeping.
When you’re ready, I’ll give concrete tools to help you let go of what isn’t serving you anymore – so you can move forward.
It’s how you’ll find – and finally feel – acceptance, validation, and love.
About Me
What I’ve Learned
I have a master’s degree in clinical psychology specializing in Spiritual and Depth Psychology from Antioch University in Los Angeles, California. I completed my associateship training (3000+ hours) at the Southern California Counseling Center. Specific training I received while there included TRM (trauma skills), mindfulness, and multicultural group work.
Before becoming a psychotherapist and healer, I worked in the entertainment industry as an assistant to agents, directors, producers, and studio executives. I know first-hand the importance of mental health in creative industries.
I have also started a teen group at Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, where I gained particular experience working with high schoolers on anger management. It proved so successful that it continued for two consecutive years and fluctuated between 7-17 kids weekly.
What I Know
Therapy is your right, not a privilege – and I’m passionate about providing culturally sensitive, LGBTQIAA+ affirmative, intersectional feminist, post-modern therapy.
The most effective therapist tailors each session to the specific needs of the individual. With that in mind, I love to get creative in session. One day our session could be talk therapy – the next, we might try meditation skills – and the next could be a subconscious-drawing exercise.
We’ll work together to discover the modalities that work best for your healing.
I became a therapist to help adults and teens heal. Western medicine tends to look at symptoms as the problem, but I don’t let mere symptoms distract me. I’ll help you find the root of your pain. We will explore, feel, and process where it came from and how we can let it go – carefully.
I love what I do, and I hope you’ll reach out today so we can start working together.
What I do when I’m not working
I am not a thrill-seeker. On my days off, you’ll find me walking in nature, snuggling up with a good book, Netflix-binging, or thrift shopping. My most important indulgence is a daily hot bath with candles and lavender Epsom salt.
Like so many people, the pandemic shook up the way we do business, and therapy sessions moved online. I found the freedom to conduct sessions from my home office really liberating, and clients seemed to love it, too. I’m grateful for my ability to work remotely now, which allows me to travel and spend more time with family.
